do you believe every young person with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Greater Kansas City deserves the opportunity to know Jesus, experience fun and adventure, develop fulfilling friendships and to challenge their limits while building self-esteem through club, camp and other exciting activities?
When people from anywhere around the Metro call and ask if Capernaum is available to them, we desire our answer to be a resounding, “Yes!”
To make Capernaum in the KC Metro a reality, we need community ownership and backing. We will need adults who will develop meaningful relationships by serving as volunteer leaders; spending time with kids by going to club and camp. We will need drivers to help Capernaum kids get to and from activities; adults who will help raise disability awareness within our community and church, committee members, as well as the support of those willing to give financially.
The rewards of reaching out to young people with disabilities are tremendous. By serving, you will experience the joy of helping them grow and experience life to the fullest. You can make the difference in a young person’s life.
