It does not include lunch while we are traveling, or souvenirs, T-shirts from the camp store and extra snacks while at camp. The camp fee is non-refundable except in the case of medical or family emergencies.
STATUS: This trip is full. Please call Rick to inquire about the waiting list.
MORE DETAILED INFO:
We will be meeting at the Shawnee Mission South parking lot at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 20th so we can ride on a charter bus with Shawnee Mission Young Life. We will be returning to the same location around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24th, ready for dinner (and to tell you about their week - maybe). This charter bus ride is included in the camp fee!
While at Clearwater, your kids cannot be reached directly/immediately by phone or by cell phone because they’re probably out on a boat, on the ropes course, or in the water! Kids will be able to call you if they bring or purchase a calling card (available at camp). Also, you may send mail (hint, hint!). That address and phone number are:
827 Majestic View Lane
Lampe, MO 65681
Clearwater’s after-hours emergency number is: 417-779-1275. We will make sure to have them contact you as we arrive at camp and right when we leave!
WHAT TO BRING:
The guys can bring whatever they want as long as it's legal and fits into one suitcase and a carry-on for road trip essentials. Young Life properties have a national policy of not allowing electronics at camp so I’ll collect cell phones, smart watches, iPads, music players, and headphones before we get to camp. Please mark your players and headphones with your name! If kids need to charge their devices for the ride home, a portable charging device is a good idea. NOTE: If kids want pictures, they’ll need an actual camera. Here is a packing list.
A couple of bathing suits
Sunglasses / goggles
A whole bottle of sunscreen
A pair of shorts, shoes, and a dark t-shirt you don't mind throwing away
